Binder clips keep The Brew Bag in place while stirring and they fold down to allow the kettle lid to sit properly. When the mash is complete and removed one at a time, they keep the bag in place so you can add the strap loop to the pulley hook without the rest of the bag falling into the kettle. They can also be used to keep the hop bag attached to the side of the kettle, for steeping grains, or whatever you think of.
