Micron Rated Nylon Mesh Fabric

With nine micron ratings to choose from you’ll be able to meet production schedules and ensure quality of the product. If you need strength and fine filtering, using two bags allows fast outflow through the higher micron and then fine particulate removal with a smaller micron. An example would be filtering ground cinnamon from a batch of kombucha by first using a 400 micron bag and then draining it into a 40 micron bag. We will send sample material to you on request for testing your flow through rate, residual sediment, or any other criteria to meet your final product specifications. 

Exact Fit

We manufacture kettle and barrel bags using the vessel outer diameter and height - not bag size - so your measurements are critical to our manufacturing. We then add about 4” to the height for overhang and 0.75” or so to the diameter. You can order direct from our site using those dimensions or call us for special sizing. We will make samples at 50% of the cost to ensure the right size, product saturation and outflow rate.

Options

We are the only company in the world that processes orders in 5-7 days and allows the customer to choose from 9 different micron ratings with no minimum order. Our manufacturing process allows you to choose- Any Size - Any Quantity - Any Micron. We make filter bags from 1” to 55” diameter and height up to 72”. Need a liner for an IBC tank? We make those too. You can add a marine grade zipper or drawstring to any bag for easy bottom dumping or submerging. If you don’t need strength we can eliminate the strapping and reduce the cost.

Pre-Filtering

Are your paper filters expensive to replace? We can make a filter bag of any size to pre-filter the particulates and save you hundreds of dollars in primary filter cost replacements. The clogged paper filter is on the right and the pre-filter bag is on the left. This customer now simply removes the fabric filter, gives it a shake and reinstals.

    All products are manufactured using micron rated FDA (food grade) approved polyester or nylon. Be sure to reference your cleaning and sanitizing chemicals before using them to ensure compatibility.

  • Warranty

    Our filters are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for life. if a seam or stitching ever fails we will replace the bag free. The fabric does not “run”, so if it’s damaged during use it can be easily patched without sacrificing strength or filtering capability.

  • Durability

    Customers have reported using our filters over 500 times! Your cost per use can be calculated at pennies. But, we do make single use bags as well that eliminate FDA requirements for sanitization and eliminate cleaning labor and chemical cost.

    We manufacture and ship most orders within 5-7 days. Ship time on orders of 100 pieces or more will need to be estimated. You can expect shipping on 1,000 pieces or less in 10-14 days.

Strength Durability

The filters are purposely designed to allow lifting with a pulley or any other device that works in your production room. An electric winch on a rafter or a pulley attached to anything stable makes draining the bags hassle free and eliminates straining to lift the bags. Unless damaged in use the bags can be used in excess of 50 times. Some customers have reported over 500 uses from their bags. 



400 and 800 micron bags can lift and hold 400 pounds while all others can lift and hold 200 pounds. If you need fine filtering and strength, double bag the product with a 400 and a 55 or 40 micron. The 400 carries the weight and the finer filter removes the particulates. 


The set up in the photo is a 55 gallon kettle with roughly 118 pounds of grain. Wet weight is about 236 pounds but initial water weight lift is over 275.
