Locking Ratchet Pulley - 1/4" Rope - 150 lbs Capacity - 5 gallons or less
Carabiner not included - must be purchased separately.
Recommended for 5 gallons or less - This locking ratchet can lift and hold up 150 pounds. For safety when brewing alone, we recommend using it for 5 gallon or less grain bills. The rope is Solid Braided Polypropylene and the hooks are Zinc Plated Steel. To use, attach black ratchet side S hook on a safe suitable hanger, then attach the hanging S hook to the bag loops and pull the loose end of the rope to lift and lock the ratchet in place. To loosen, just pull the tight rope to reduce tension and push the thumb release.

Unbelievably inexpensive for a pulley that works so much better than anyone that I've owned before. Save your time and money and purchase this pulley.
Anyway, bought the 150 lb capacity ratchet pulley. Had to put up a brace and I-Bolt, but that was on me. On brew day, use the included hook to hang the hoist over my pot. When it came time to mash-out, the hoist was a great help to lift the bag and hold while draining. Seems well made and inspires confidence. Happy enough!
Got the 5 gallon for my Biab Kettle set up. Have been doing Biab for several years and needed to replace the non brew bag I had been using. The construction of the bag itself seems well done, good stitching and material. The best part for me were it being designed to have the loops for using a pulley over head. So much easier to have a pulley remove the bag and drain over the Kettle. This in conjunction with a furniture dolley and some cinder blocks have made it so I have a zero manual lift brew day, saving my back and arms.
Works well, ideal for hoisting and holding wet grain for 5 gal batches. Note that the release is at the top - so you need to be able to reach the pulley to release the load....
