Maximum Load Limit: 150 LBS. Includes 10' - Solid Braided Polypropylene Rope.

Carabiner not included - must be purchased separately.

Recommended for 5 gallons or less - This locking ratchet can lift and hold up 150 pounds. For safety when brewing alone, we recommend using it for 5 gallon or less grain bills.  The rope is Solid Braided Polypropylene and the hooks are Zinc Plated Steel. To use, attach black ratchet side S hook on a safe suitable hanger, then attach the hanging S hook to the bag loops and pull the loose end of the rope to lift and lock the ratchet in place. To loosen, just pull the tight rope to reduce tension and push the thumb release.

Locking Rachet Pulley

I’ve only used it once so far but I think it works great. Takes a lot of strain off the shoulders when lifting and squeezing. Would recommend.

Game Changer

I don't know why I waited to get one of these. Very inexpensive, but dramatically improved my brew day experience!

Very happy

Very easy to use and works great with my grist amounts which are typically 2 gal batches so around 5 lb, but it feels sturdy enough to handle much more. I added a carabiner to the bottom hook to make sure it holds the BIAB securely.

Perfectly simple to use

This is a great compliment to the Brew Bag. I have a basement brewery set up and this ratchet is the perfect item for lifting the bag safely.

Ratchet works really well

Before using this, I always had to tie the rope off and it made it a PITA to adjust it. With this pulley and locking action, it is very easy to lift the bag and make adjustments. I thought it might not be strong enough, but it worked great for my 5 gallon batch.
